About
Inspired by Tigran Hamasyan’s 2015 album Luys i Luso and the work of the late pioneering archeoacoustician David Lubman, we set out to develop an accessible methodology for assessment and preservation of Armenian heritage sites, specifically churches and basilicas dating as far back as the 9th century AD. Most recently, this effort to preserve Armenian architecture has been supported by partnerships with AUA and NUACA in Yerevan through short-term workshops focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of acoustics and on-site measurements. The project aims to continue across the former Kingdom of Armenia with future site assessment in Armenia and Türkiye.
