With the aim of being the premier global destination for all things Pokémon trading cards, The Poke Court is a retail outlet and social media hub for Pokémon trading card fanatics. BAD’s role, alongside GAMPWorks architects, was to control the sound of the long space to foster optimal acoustical comfort, controlled speech intelligibility, and design for customers along the neurodiverse continuum.

About
The Warby Parker design team contacted BAD for guidance on improving acoustics at three high-performing locations and forthcoming new retail locations. We provided benchmark testing, room acoustic modeling, and recommendations to achieve industry standards for optimal retail acoustics. Solutions targeted reduced reverberation time and inclusive speech intelligibility criteria.
Herman Miller Showroom

About
The Fairfax, VA, Herman Miller retail showroom at the Mosaic District shopping center required demonstration of compliance with lease language requirements regarding noise and acoustics. BAD provided preliminary modeling and on-site measurement analyses to determine compliance with lease requirements. Additional design guidance for enhanced retail acoustical comfort was provided.
